Ryecroft Lodge is a grand, character boarding house over 100 years old. Its central location offers easy access to Auckland city and Newmarket. Here you will find a range of retail shops, shopping malls along with a great variety of cafes, eateries and bars. The beautiful Auckland Domain, Olympic pool and fitness centre, Auckland Museum, local library and weekend markets are all a short stroll from the Lodge.

Rooms

Ryecroft Lodge has 29 rooms and offers long-term rental and boarding house accommodation. The room sizes vary and often display the character of the house with mantlepieces and fire surrounds. All rooms are furnished with a bed, a wardrobe, a fridge, TV connection and unlimited hi-speed internet.

Facilities

Residents have access to 2 communal kitchens, a separate lounge and dining room, both with TV, coin operated laundry facilities consisting of washing machine and drier plus outside clothes lines, clean shared bathrooms and a pleasant backyard.

Rates

Our rooms vary from $280 – $340 per week depending on room size. The rent is inclusive of power, water and internet. The cost to move into Ryecroft Lodge is 1 weeks rent plus 1 weeks rent as a bond.

FAQ

I had some of my personal items stolen in my last boarding house. Is this a problem at Ryecroft lodge?

We have CCTV in all the hallways, kitchens, dining room and lounge, which is an excellent deterrent for managing this issue.

Is it rowdy at night and weekends?

This is a peaceful home environment that we offer. There is a set of house rules that establishes a code of conduct for easy living.

Can I walk to the Auckland CBD and waterfront from Ryecroft lodge?

Yes – it would be a 30 – 45-minute walk, however you also have the option of public transport nearby

Do you accept residents on Work & Income?

Yes, we do accept residents who are supported by WINZ.
